Growing up I remember May 30th as the day to honor those that gave their lives for our country.  We got the day off school and there was always a parade. The way we celebrate the holiday has changed from then to now, but then, that is not all that has changed.Â
I grew up without TV, Computer, Cell Phones, or even Cordless Phones, and a lot of other do-dads I probably don't know about. Â
Anyway, I have my American Flag up on the bookcase.
I spent a couple of hours out on "A Peaceful Place" thinking of days past. You might say today was a downer for me but it wasn't because, while out in the beautiful sunshine just taking in all the beauty around us, my phone rang and it was a call from my dear friend Barbara. I had not heard from her in days and was really concerned.  She was having computer trouble and had to get a new one and when she finds out how to send messages I will hear from her. Â
If we win the game tonight, I'll write tomorrow. If we lose the game tonight, I will still write tomorrow.Â
Love and prayers from here to there.
